When You’re Being Stretched
Have you ever felt like you’re in a season where everything is shifting, stretching, and pulling you beyond what feels comfortable?
Yeah… same.
If I’m honest, I’m in one of those seasons right now. Things feel off rhythm. I’m “behind” on a few things. Projects are piling up. My to-do list seems to keep growing while my energy is doing the opposite. But here’s what I’m learning—being stretched isn’t punishment. It’s preparation.
Growth doesn’t always feel good, but that doesn’t mean it’s not working for your good.
Sometimes the stretch looks like delays, detours, or just plain discomfort. And in those moments, it’s easy to spiral into guilt or frustration. But what if this uncomfortable season is exactly what you prayed for—just dressed in a different outfit?
Let me ask you:
Have you been feeling stretched lately? Overwhelmed? Like you’re running behind on life, your goals, or your dreams?
If so, you’re not alone. And you’re not failing.
Here are a few reminders that have helped me navigate through this kind of season:
✨ Give yourself grace. You are not a robot. Life happens. Grace allows you to move forward without carrying the shame of where you think you “should” be.
✨ Stay anchored. Whether that’s in your faith, your purpose, or your values—don’t let temporary discomfort shake your long-term vision.
✨ Get honest. Check in with yourself. What’s really draining you? What’s one thing you can let go of today to create space?
✨ Simplify. You don’t have to do it all right now. Focus on the next best step. The next faithful move.
✨ Talk about it. Whether it’s with a mentor, a friend, or your journal—don’t bottle it up. Your voice is a tool, not a burden.
And lastly—keep showing up. Even if it’s messy. Even if it’s late. Even if it doesn’t look like what you imagined. The fact that you’re still trying means you haven’t given up—and that’s powerful.
I’d love to hear from you:
Have you ever felt like you were being stretched or falling behind? What helped you get through it?
Shoot me a message, or share this post with someone who needs a reminder that the stretch won’t break you—it’s shaping you.
You’ve got this.
