From Pivot to Purpose: Why I Don’t Regret the Journey
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been in a season of reflection.
Not the kind where you question everything… but the kind where you finally understand why everything happened.
And one question keeps coming up:
“Do you regret anything?”
Do I regret being a teen mom?
Do I regret moving to California?
Do I regret walking away from a six-figure corporate career with benefits?
My answer is simple…
No.
Not because it was easy.
Not because I had it all figured out.
But because every single decision—every high, every low, every pivot—has positioned me for the life I’m living and the life I’m building.
The Power of the Pivot
What I’ve realized is this:
Your pivot is not a mistake—it’s a redirection.
So many women are sitting in places that no longer align with who they are becoming… but they stay because it’s comfortable. Because it’s secure. Because it’s familiar.
But deep down, there’s a knowing.
A pull.
A calling.
And instead of trusting it, we question it.
We overthink it.
We delay it.
But here’s the truth I’ve been leaning into:
You can’t step into your next level holding onto what no longer fits.
My pivot wasn’t random.
It was intentional.
It was spiritual.
It was necessary.
When Fear Shows Up
Let’s be real…
Making a move—especially a big one—is scary.
There were moments where I didn’t have all the answers.
Moments where I had to sit still longer than I wanted to.
Moments where I felt the weight of responsibility—not just for myself, but for my family.
And if I’m honest, there were days I didn’t feel like showing up at all.
But even in those moments…
I kept my faith.
Because I know this:
God will never call you to something He hasn’t already equipped you for.
Even when it doesn’t make sense.
Even when it stretches you.
Even when it requires you to let go before you see what’s next.
You’re Not Meant to Do This Alone
One of the biggest lessons I’ve been reminded of is this:
You need the right people around you.
Not just people who support you…
But people who stretch you.
People who are doing more than you.
People who think bigger than you.
People who challenge you to elevate.
Because your environment matters.
If you’re constantly surrounded by fear, doubt, and limitation…
That becomes your mindset.
But when you get in rooms where growth is normal, where faith is strong, where elevation is expected…
You start to see what’s truly possible for your life.
For the Woman Who Knows There’s More
If you’re reading this and you feel that nudge…
That feeling that there’s more for you…
That you’re capable of more…
That you’re meant for more…
I want you to hear me clearly:
You are not crazy.
You are not behind.
And it is not too late.
But you do have to make a decision.
A decision to trust yourself.
A decision to trust God.
A decision to stop waiting and start moving.
Not perfectly…
But intentionally.
Where I Am Now
Today, I’m more aligned than I’ve ever been.
I have clarity.
I have peace.
And I have purpose.
And more than anything…
I know I’m walking in what I was called to do.
Not just for me…
But to be an example.
To be proof that no matter your background, your past, or your current situation…
It is possible.
Final Thought
Everything you’ve been through…
Every decision you’ve made…
Every pivot you’ve taken…
It all matters.
It all counts.
And it’s all leading you somewhere.
So instead of regret…
Choose reverence.
Honor your journey.
Trust your path.
And step boldly into what’s next.
